This is a kit for making a ColorCode. It is a prototype and not on sale yet.

This is a ColorCode that resolves to www.benmiller.com. It's a base from which more attractive designs can be generated. Using PhotoShop, restricted by a need to keep a certain percentage of the color in each cell of the 5x5 visible for the reader (i.e. software run off input from a CCD), in the top example it's pretty easy to see the relationship with the underlying base. Below that, the extent of the designers' creativity within constraint is impressive. This will grow even more impressive as the design constraint is loosened - i.e. as CCDs get better and better and the algorithm requires less and less information to decode.
